Yesterday i playtested a series II Tenor serial no 707xxx. I was very much surprised about how good this horn played. It played better then a series III and a ref 54. The sound had a very good projection and was on the bright side but not too bright.The T55 Java is more tightly wrapped sound wise with a lot of focus. Big excellent for a wide variety of playing situations, however I prefer (and am looking for) and great STM with a lot of 'zing' to the sound. I had a few SYOS Link inspired mouthpieces that I purchased at a good price, They were at best OK and not very inspirational to play.
