Echo makes a good saw as well, believe the 4910 is still available but that saw really needs muffler work to realize it’s full potential. The echos are hard to beat for the price. I rarely use anything above 24 inch. Too many times folks try to replace poor technique by using a larger saw or longer bar. All they are doing is wasting money and masking using their noggin.

The bow bar was used extensively by the US Forest Service Hotshot fire fighting had crews in the south west in the '80s because it was very effective for cutting scrub, chaparral and other large brush to clear fire line. I have not seen any crews with these bars in a long time, not sure why.. Big tits and hot

For some reason the Jonsered is only available here in that configuration, while the Husky of course can be had either way.Cutting speed is good. With a Carlton semi chisel chain it cut the small stuff like a laser. I made a couple cuts through 14" fir and it pulled through it fine. I had bought a husky 435 last year for this type of work and the 3500 cuts fast. The Makita EA3500 runs like you would expect a ms261 or 550xp smooth and fast but not the same power lol ...Tsumura bars are high quality and moderately priced. Baileys has some good German made carlton bars for $30 that are pretty good IME. Personally I'd rather get deals on bars that are of decent quality. Think of putting a tenis ball or something like that under a table and rolling it towards you, applying upward force. .
